Life story

Ada Isabella Havelock nee Stransham 1851-1943 The daughter of Sir Anthony Blaxland Stransham, a highly decorated General in the Royal Marines and Eliza Combe, Ada was born in Fulford, Yorkshire on July 13th, 1850. Ada married Acton Havelock, an army officer, in Bolarum, India on 13th January 1877.

Ada died at 'Villa Noel', a nursing home at 16 Wish Road, Hove and was buried alongside her husband in Heene Cemetery, Manor Road, Worthing.
