Life story

Amy Jane Moullin was born on 17th January 1869 in Newington, London, she was baptised on 1st October 1869 at Holy Trinity Church, Southwark, where her father, Daniel A. Moullin, 50yrs, was the Rector. Her mother was Louisa Harriet, 29yrs, nee Lent and Amy was 1 of 8 children.

Her father died in 1889 and Louisa commenced travelling in 1891 to the New World, Australia and America, appearing to settle in California where she married William Fitzjames in 1901.

Her brothers, James, and Alfred, both emigrated to Australia.

At some point Amy, now widowed, returned to England and settled in Worthing, Sussex, living at Almeda, Belsize Road, where she died, aged 47yrs, on 10th February 1916. Probate was granted to Alfred William Moullin and Cecil Dent, estate agents, effects £93 7s 6d. Value 2022 - £8,600.
