Life story

Ann Bailey was the daughter of James Powis, a dealer in toys and fancy goods, and his wife Ann. She was born in Harkwell Heath, Buckinghamshire, on 16 July 1835. She married a grocer, George Francis Bailey, at Broadwater church on 24 May 1864 and they had 1 daughter, Margaret Louisa in 1870. They lived variously in Broadwater, Worthing and Hove. Ann died in November 1919 aged 84. No probate announcement was found.
