Life story

Life story

Archibald was born in Heene, the son of Albert and Alice Maria. He was baptised at Heene on 1st November 1874. His father ran a common lodging house in Brunswick Road, next door to the King and Queen public house. Albert died aged 6 on 16th January 1881. His death certificate states that he died of "supposed scarlet fever and albuminuria" (presence of protein in the urine linked to kidney disease). He was buried in Heene Cemetery on 20th January.
