He was baptised at Heene on 1st November 1874. His father ran a common lodging house in Brunswick Road, next door to the King and Queen public house. Albert died aged 6 on 16th January 1881. His death certificate states that he died of "supposed scarlet fever and albuminuria" (presence of protein in the urine linked to kidney disease).
