Ethel Frederica Powell was born on 3rd December 1856, the daughter of John Frederick Augustus Powell and Mary York. She married John Herbert Gentleman Bladon on 17 November 1881 in Kent. They had four children during their marriage. She died on 22 July 1934 in Worthing, Sussex, at the age of 77.
