Life story

Life story

Florence Eugenie Summers was born in Woolwich, London, in 1856. She was the daughter of Thomas C. Summers, Royal Navy Engineer, 44yrs, and Henrietta, 44yrs, nee Cockle; she was I of at least 9 children.

The family moved from Kent to Portsea, Hampshire, after her father retired.

Florence, 25yrs, married Alfred Henry Kingswell, 23yrs, on 31st October 1881, at Hammersmith, London, her husband was a banker's clerk.

They lived in Chiswick for many years before moving to Worthing, Sussex, where Alfred was a resident bank clerk, living at the London County Westminster and Parrs Bank, in Rowlands Road. They had no children.

Florence died, aged 63yrs, on 11th March 1920.
