George Frederick Wildash 1879 - 1954 Community Volunteer and Chartered Accountant 

Chartered Accountant George Wildash had many voluntary roles in his community. 

The son of George Wildash and Kate White, he was born on 12th May 1879 in Hackney. 

His father became a varnish maker

He was active in the Rotary movement, the society of Barber Surgeons and the Church and offered his accountancy services freely. He lived in Dalston Hackney, Walthamstow and Worthing. 

He married Annie Kelsey of Lincolnshire on 8 June 1910 Walthamstow, Essex, England, United Kingdom They had a son, George Kelsey in 1911 and a daughter, Annie in 1915. He moved to Worthing between 1901 and 1919. 

 In 1939 his widowed, incapacitated mother was living with him and his wife.

He was buried in Heene Cemetery in 1954 alongside his  two young uncles, Edwin and Augustus.

Sudden death of chartered accountant MR. George Frederick Wildash. founder of the well-known Worthing firm of chartered accountants. died suddenly on Saturday. aged 74. He had been an accountant for over 50 years and was active until his death. On Saturday Mr. Wildash had been to see a client. He sat down on a seat in Goring-road and was found there dead. His home was at 55 Poulters-lane. Worthing. Mr. Wildash came to Worthing In 1903 after starting his own accountancy practice In London. That branch was maintained while he was In Worthing. where the Liverpool-gardens offices were opened. He was a founder-member of the Worthing Rotary Club. In London he was a member and past master of the Worshipful Company of Barber-Surgeons. of which his father was 'also a past master. He was also a member of the City Livery Club and a Freeman of the City of London. In Worthing he was a sidesman at Christ Church and before that a member of the Holy Trinity Church Council. He was a honorary member of Worthing Golf Club. The funeral service was held at Christ Church this afternoon. Mr. Wildash leaves a widow and a son and daughter.
