Life story

When Jeannie Prentice Law was born in 1874 in Shanghai, China, her father, Alexander, was 31, and her mother, Jane, was 27. 

She married William Alexander Duncan Cooper and they had one daughter together. 

She then married Arthur Alison Stuart Barnes on 29 May 1909 in Shanghai, China. 

She died on 1 October 1952 in Surrey at the age of 78, and was buried in Worthing, Sussex.
