Life story

Thomas Russell Drury, Margaretta's father was a printer and a Freeman of the City of London (admitted on 7th July 1830). He was the son of William, a goldsmith. Her mother was Louisa nee Boobyer, the daughter of an ironmonger. Margaretta was baptised on 9th October 1840 at St Giles Cripplegate. She remained a spinster, living most of her life in London with independent means. She moved to Worthing sometime between 1901 and 1906 and lived at Mayfield, Winchester Road with her sister Mary Louisa and Agnes Eugenie Gardener, a friend. She died on 8th August 1916. Probate was granted on 14th September to Agnes Eugenie Gardener spinster and Walter Aston member of the Pharmaceutical Society. Effects £2938 14s 3d.
