Life story

Mercy was born in Worthing, the eldest daughter of Charles and Mary Hepzibah Cooper. She was baptised at Christchurch on 19th February 1893. Her father was a waiter and jobbing gardener and the family lived at 17 Milton Street. Mercy died about 13th December 1893 and was buried on 16th December at Heene. Her parents and grandparents are also buried in the cemetery.
