It is well" Life storyLife storyFrances was born in Worcester, the daughter of Harry and Rose Louise. She was always known as "Molly". Her mother was a nurse and the daughter of Louis Charles Alexander, a banker and author. He founded and was secretary of the Royal Historical Society. Harry and Rose had married in Worcester in 1896. Rose moved to Worthing by 1901, living with Molly in Heene Road. There was no mention in the census of her husband Harry. Molly died of polio on 25th November 1906. Her beautiful memorial was erected by her grandfather. In 1908, 2 guineas was given to the children's ward at Worthing Hospital in memory of Molly. By 1911, Rose was back living with her family in Wandsworth and described as a "widow". In 1921, Rose came back to Worthing to attend the funeral of former Mayor James White.
