Sudden Death in Shop - Mr. George Thomas Anthony aged 61 of Ravenscroft, St Botolph's Road, complained of feeling cold on the chest on Thursday and collapsed in a newsagent's shop in Heene Road, which he entered to purchase a paper. He died before medical assistance could be obtained. The West Sussex Coroner (Mr F.W. Butler) conducted an inquiry at Ravenscroft on Saturday afternoon. Mr Adie of Toro Bito, Shakespeare Road, with whom the deceased had tea, said he had seemed unusually bright when he left to go home about six o'clock. A post morem examination revealed heart failure as the cause of death, and the Coroner recorded a verdict to this effect.
