Ernest William Riminton - Grandson of Henry Riminton

Ernest William Riminton was born in 1892 to William and Jesse Riminton, and was the grandson of Henry Riminton. At the age of 19yrs, he was living with his family at 83 Woodside Green, South Norwood as Clerk to Timber Trade. War Service:

Rifleman 246 ERNEST WILLIAM RIMINTON of 5th battalion London Regiment (London Rifle Brigade) died on 30 April 1915 of wounds sustained on 28 April. He is buried and remembered in Bailleul Communal cemetery extension. Location of Memorial: He is remembered on the war memorials at St Dunstan's College in Catford and and St Mary's church in Lewisham in the pages of the History of the Old Dunstonians Rugby Football Club. Details: He was 23, the son of William and Jessie Riminton, of Rosenthal Road, Catford. He was educated at Priory School, Catford and was a pupil at St Dunstan’s College from 1901-1906. His brother Percy was killed on 18 September 1916 while serving with the Queens Westminster Rifles.
