Life story

Life story

Anne Dullam's parents were Robert , a plumber, and Ann Dullam. Her mother's maiden name was Perrin and her father was a tailor. Their home in 1861 was in New Park Road, Lambeth.

By 1881, Anne normally known as Annie, was living with her uncle and aunt, John and Mary Evans, at 42, Clarendon Place, Broadwater.

In 1901 Annie was a cook in the household of Sarah and William Evans, sister and brother, children of John and Mary Evans. Their other servant was Alice Passmore, the housemaid.

In 1911 Annie had her own home at the Goring-by-Sea Post Office with no occupation but her servant was Alice Passmore.

In 1921 Annie had moved to 42, Rowlands Road, Worthing, with Alice Passmore, now called a friend, performing home duties. Louisa Ann Dullam, a hospital nurse, and Nellie Anderson, a visiting maternity nurse, were also part of the household.

Annie died on 9 May 1926 at Auckland House, 42, Rowlands Road, Worthing aged 65, leaving £7,190 10s 9d to the Public Trustees. This usually means that there was no-one else willing or able to act as trustee at the time.
