Life story

When Lilly Annie Poland was born in October 1876 in Worthing, Sussex, her father, Edward, a beer house keeper, was 28, and her mother, Martha Mitchell, was 28. She had five brothers and one sister. Following a Heene christening on 12th February 1877 she died later that month aged 4 months and was buried in Heene Cemetery on 27th February 1877.
