Life story

Ada was born in Streatham, the daughter of Lynch White and his wife Eleanor (Ellen). Her father was an iron merchant. Ada married Arthur John Gale, an architect and surveyor at St Leonard's church, Streatham on 11th September 1889. The couple were married for almost 30 years but had no children. Ada's address when she died in 1919 was 13 Market Street, Rye. She died in Victoria Hospital, Lewes and was buried at Heene beside her mother-in-law Mary Margaret Gale who had lived in Winchester Road, Worthing and died the previous January. Probate was granted on 2nd January 1920 to Arthur John Gale gentleman and Frederick Kilvington solicitor. Effects £3290 2s 11d.
