Life story

Life story

Daisy was born in Worthing, the daughter of Thomas and Kate. She was baptised at Broadwater on 26th February 1893. Her father was a publican and brewer, running the Montague Brewery. From 1915 until her death, Daisy helped her father at "The Running Horse" in Paragon Street. She died at The Home Hospital, Fitzroy Square, St Pancras on 3rd November 1928. She had been suffering from a gastro jejunal ulcer, a rare complication of a gastric ulcer. She suffered heart failure after an operation.
