Life story

Winifred Miles was born in Worthing in October 1904. Her father, John, was a fruit grower from Brighton and her mother, Caroline Hannah Lucas was from Portslade. She had seven brothers and three sisters. She died in July 1905 and was buried in Heene Cemetery, Sussex. Three of her siblings; Christopher, Edwin and Albert, also died in infancy and were buried in Heene.
